Algonquin Guided Day Trips

Enjoy Algonquin guided day trips in the park’s beautiful northwest corner

A multi-day interior trip may seem daunting for a first-timer, or perhaps you simply don’t have the time. Voyageur Outfitting wants the beauty and adventure of Algonquin Park to be accessible for everyone, therefore we offer a variety of Algonquin guided day trips. These trips provide the opportunity to take short break from city life and explore nature, no matter your availability or skill level. A great introduction to canoe tripping, you will have a chance to see stunning scenery, learn the fundamentals of paddling, and maybe see some wildlife, all with the help of one of our experienced guides.

Classic Algonquin Park Day Trip

Our classic day trip is perfect for groups of 4 or more. Join us at our outfitter at Algonquin Park Access Point #1 in the morning to enjoy a coffee on our Broken Paddle Patio. Next, spend the morning on a guided paddle of scenic Kawawaymog Lake. Return to the patio for a delicious lunch, and finally, embark on a guided lookout hike in the afternoon. The price for this trip is $75 plus HST per person based on a group of 6 people. This price includes the guided paddle, patio lunch, and afternoon hike. The price will vary for bigger groups – call our office to get a quote.

We also offer customized Algonquin guided day trips. We have the ability to tailor the day trip to your preferences, adding any elements to suit your needs for an additional price, including fishing. Transportation from Toronto can be arranged for $190 plus HST round trip per person.

Fall Day Trip

As the weather turns towards the end of September, we trade in the heat for the stunning colours that emerge across the forests of Canada. Autumn in Algonquin Park is majestic, and seeing the colours by canoe will take your breath away. For a truly memorable excursion, choose a fall day trip. Explore the red and golden orange forests, the crisp blue lakes, and the evergreen shoes. The weather of each season influences the start and duration of fall colour season, so call our office well in advance to ensure you pick the best time to see the foliage. The last week of September and the first week of October are usually peak season for viewing the foliage. Our fall Algonquin guided day trips have the potential to take large groups, so please call our office to get a quote. Visit this page for more details.
